About Me

Ryan Fortune

I am an incredibly curious individual. I am a fast learner by nature, and I strive for a steady barrage of new challenges. I like to write, design, and mess with unmonitored web browsers.

So why the website?

I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2009 with a Sport Management degree, ready to conquer the business of professional sports. After six hard fought months of professional trail and error, I joined a local golf retailer and was thrust into an online listing role for all golf products. This move quickly grew into a web development, SEO, and content strategy undertaking, all of which I had no business doing.

Since, I have had the opportunity to further develop and foster my professional web skills as a renaissance man for a fast-growing tech company in Minneapolis. I learned enough web coding languages to be dangerous. I figured out how to shine the Google spotlight where people want it. I clicked a few buttons in Photoshop and made something pretty. And I continue to have a heck of time doing it.

Plain and simple: the best way to learn and grow any skill is through hands-on experimentation. This website is an experimentation. And a personal portfolio, I suppose. Hope you like it.

“All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.”
